Main St. Pub

Main Street Pub has been on my radar for a while, but for reasons that had nothing to do with a formal review. My niece goes to GVSU and this place is a go-to when I visit. I’ve always loved the ranch here, even before I was doing this whole thing officially. So coming back with my rating hat on felt a little like finally giving credit where it’s long been due.

The ranch is thick, well-balanced, and it pulled its weight across everything I ordered. Great on the salad, great on the wrap, and those french fries were perfectly seasoned, which honestly made the ranch experience even better. Good fries elevate good ranch. That’s just science. But let me tell you about the Chicken Bacon Ranch Soup, because I need you to understand what happened. I had never heard of such a thing. I ordered it, after the server let me try a little sample, and it was phenomenal. Like, genuinely one of those food moments where you stop mid-bite and just sit with it. I loved it so much that I bought an extra bowl to bring home for my husband.

He ate both bowls. 😭

Mine and his. Gone. I was sad. I also completely understood because that soup has no business being that good. Their soups rotate, which is a crime against this particular one. If you see Chicken Bacon Ranch Soup on that menu, do not walk. Order an extra bowl and hide it. Learn from my mistakes.

Top-Notch, no hesitation. The ranch and the soup both earned it.
