Coty’s Landing makes a point to tell you their kitchen is scratch-made, needless to say my hopes were high! So when the ranch arrived and smelled like it came straight out of a bottle from the salad dressing aisle, that was a little deflating.
What’s the say, “if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck…must be store-bought sadness”? Something like that.
It tasted the same way it smelled. Disappointing. Nothing about it suggested anyone made it from scratch, unless it was trying to scratch the name off the bottle bought from the store.
The rest of the meal had some bright spots. The soup was genuinely good. I loved the mini sliders. The mini chef salad was decent, though I was hoping for more deli meat action and less “side salad” energy. The food has potential. The ranch just isn’t part of it.
If you’re going to put scratch-made on your menu, the ranch has to show up for that claim. This one didn’t fill the big shoes it was going for.
