What We Ordered

The Review

Can we talk about how cute this place is? As a dog lover, I was already a fan before I sat down. Add an alternative-style taco menu and I was all in.

The ranch smelled good before I tasted it, which is always a promising sign.

Consistency is solid. Slight tang, with a salt ratio that played really well against the fries. On the salad, I picked up a faint peppery note that had me cocking my head like a dog trying to figure something out.

There’s a subtle chunky texture going on. I know. You really don’t want “chunky” and “ranch” in the same sentence. But it wasn’t as gross as it sounds. My guess is parmesan or pepper hiding in there, though I couldn’t pin it down. I didn’t love it, but it worked as a quirky little wink on the standard ranch. And I’m a sucker for a good wink.

A quick word on the food, because it earned it:

The CBR taco was the standout. Easily my favorite thing on the table. The McLovin’ was also solid, though the 1000 island ran a little sweet for me.

Runner-Up territory. Solid ranch, fun spot, I’d come back.
