The Review
Backstory: We were at a distillery that, turns out, doesn’t serve food during certain hours (those drinks though… wow). We were hungry and unbothered by logistics, so we pivoted to takeout from Hickory Tavern, so we could enjoy our food and start watching Off Campus.
Good thing we pivoted. The food, the ranch, and the show were a hit!
She’s thick. No distinctive smell, which means it can go either way. It was rich, in the best way, and the salt ratio is right where it should be. It paired well across the board: fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, even the little cheeseburger. Nothing fought with it. Everything got better because of it.
Was this a case of having so many bad options that this one stood out against the rest? Possibly… but no complaints. I was happy, my sister was happy, and the distillery’s drinks became a distant memory
Life’s too short for bad ranch.
