What We Ordered

The Review

You know that friend who always shows up in jeans and a hoodie? Never overdressed, never underdressed—just always… there? That’s Applebee’s ranch.

It’s got good consistency, leaning slightly thin, but it stays in its ramekin lane. Flavor-wise, it’s kind of an enigma. Doesn’t taste homemade, but also doesn’t come swinging with that aggressive, preservative-packed tang of your average bottled sadness. If this is a bottle? It’s a sneaky little devil and deserves a raise. If it’s homemade, it needs a little zhuzhing.

Let’s be clear: this ranch isn’t life changing. Nobody’s getting married with it. But you know what? I trust it. I can order wings, or mozzarella sticks and know I won’t immediately regret my life choices.

Would I come to Applebee’s just for the ranch? No. But if I’m there? I’ll order confidently and maybe get a honey mustard as backup.
