Castaway Bay - Bay City, Michigan
Castaway Bay’s ranch is a solid Runner Up: good smell, great consistency, tastes homemade but a little shy on flavor. Didn’t make me dance, but I’d still recommend. Bonus: the boom boom sauce was a nice little happy kick to the taste buds.
RANCH REVIEWMICHIGAN BASEDRUNNER-UPDRESSING APPROVED!
This ranch came out swinging with a good smell and solid consistency, which had my hopes high since we were off to a strong start.
Flavor-wise, it tastes homemade, but it doesn’t fully commit to a bold taste. It was kind of like playing musical chairs with my taste buds, but I was happy when it hit the right one (that’s quite a visual). I even had a moment of “is that saltiness from the ranch… or just the pickle chip I dunked it with?”
Either way, I wasn’t mad about it. Bonus points: I also tried their boom boom sauce, which brought a fun little kick. Overall, this ranch didn’t make me break into a happy dance, but it’s a strong contender and one I’d definitely recommend.
