I was immediately on alert when the menu proudly announced Hidden Valley Ranch. That’s… not the flex some places think it is, especially when they don’t clarify bottle vs. powder (because yes, there’s a difference and it matters). The smell leaned store-bought, which had me bracing for disappointment.
With the onion rings, it was honestly hard to judge since those rings were doing the absolute most flavor-wise. Surprisingly, it didn’t taste as aggressively store-bought as the smell suggested, which saved it from total sadness. That said, it’s not bad, but it’s also not really anything. Just kind of… there.
The chipotle ranch brought a smoky, slightly spicy moment, but overall, it carried the same bland-adjacent energy as the regular ranch.
