What We Ordered

The Review

Some places don’t need an introduction. Leo’s Coney Island is one of them. A Metro Detroit staple, the kind of spot that’s been around long enough to feel like family. You don’t second-guess it. You just go.

I was hanging out with a friend this visit, which means I was present in the best way and maybe a little less focused on documenting every detail. That’s what Leo’s does to you. You’re laughing, eating, dipping pita bread, and suddenly you realize you forgot to clock the smell because you were just… living. Honestly? That’s a testament to the experience.

The ranch is mid-level consistency, leaning thicker, and it works beautifully across the board. Perfect on a chicken finger pita, great as a straight-up pita dipper, and holds its own on a salad without drowning anything out. My personal power move is mixing their ranch with the greek dressing on a greek salad, and I will stand by that combination until my last breath.

One thing I have to address: the pink greek dressing used to be a staple and this visit it was nowhere to be found. Still processing that. Someone look into it. Am I making that memory up?

None of that changes how I feel about the ranch. If Chili’s is like a hug from an old friend, Leo’s is the friend you’ve told all your secrets to. The real ones. And they show up every single time. Top-Notch. No hesitation.
