Molasses Smokehouse and Bar

I couldn’t remember if Molasses had good ranch, so I went bold and ordered a side salad without checking first. Rookie move. The second it hit the table, I knew. The smell? Bottled. The taste? Bottled. The texture? Thick in that very specific, mass-produced way. No mystery, no smile, no dancing. Just ramekin-shaped disappointment.

I tried to give it a fair shot. Same result with both wings and salad. It wasn’t the worst ranch I’ve ever had, but absolutely not doing anything special and was very clearly poured straight from a bottle.

Side note: because honesty matters here, something felt off that day. The wing rub, which is usually great, was weird and not great. The winner of the visit was the tri-tip, which absolutely saved the experience and deserves its flowers.

Now I know. And future me will not be making that salad mistake again.
