What We Ordered

The Review

This one is hard to pin down. The flavor hits in a way that feels almost tartar sauce adjacent, there’s this faint fried-clam vibe I can’t un-experience, not exactly what you expect when you dip something into ranch.

It does taste made, which I genuinely appreciate. But the profile is just… off. There’s a slight sour tang at the end that threw me, and not in a fun “oh that’s interesting” way. More like, “hmm… why?” My sister agreed with me. I made her try it too, so I didn’t feel as crazy.

This is exactly where my rating system exposes a gap. It’s definitely not Store-Bought Sadness, but it’s also not quite It’ll Do. It sits in that awkward in-between space, like the ranch version of a C- minus.

I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt and rounding up, just like I always wished my professors would’ve done for me in college. I’m hoping it was an off day, because there’s potential here… it just needs a little help finding its lane.
