O’Kelly’s is the third sister in this little restaurant family, so I walked in fully prepared for anything. The Cabin is that overachieving Top-Notch sibling. Hunter’s Ale House is the bottled-ranch chaos gremlin. O’Kelly’s? She’s the middle child, trying her best.
I’ve had their ranch before, and it went through a phase where it was… rough. This time, though, it redeemed itself a bit. The consistency is thick, there’s a slight sour tang, but it does not hit like straight preservatives in a bottle. It does not taste fully homemade either, but it’s not disappointing enough to rant about (see Hunter’s review)
Basically, she is showing up with effort but not extra credit. And honestly, I respect that level of honesty in a ranch.
It’ll Do feels like the right call.
