Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Someone told my husband that Olive Garden had good ranch, and I immediately had questions. Mostly because I’ve seen the bottled version they sell in the store… and nothing about that has ever whispered “trust me.”

To be fair, I’ve never actually tried their ranch before. I’m loyal to their house Italian dressing. But for the sake of the plot (and because I wasn’t about to waste my salad), I ordered the fried mozzarella to do a proper test.

First impression: it smelled preservative-y.
Second impression: it tasted sour… and not in the intentional, tangy way.
And the consistency? Thick with two C’s.

This is classic Store-Bought Sadness. It’s not offensive enough to write a letter, but it’s also not something I’d ever voluntarily dip into again. I’ll be sticking with my trusty Italian dressing here, but at least now we know!
