There was a faint sour smell when I did my initial olfactory test. Not overwhelming, just enough to notice. It did put me on suspicion alert though because that’s a tell tale sign of a Store-bought sadness moment. Thankfully, though, we didn’t have that issue as my testing continued.
The taste is fine. It works with the food, does what a ranch is supposed to do, and doesn’t get in the way of anything. It’s just not doing anything extra either. No standout flavor, no moment that makes you stop and pay attention to it, or do a little happy dance of satisfaction.
Compared to my Runner-Ups, it’s missing a little something. But it’s not a bad experience. It just exists, and sometimes that’s okay.
