Gus's Carry Out - Brighton, Michigan
Gus’s ranch is a runny little rockstar. Creamy, flavorful, addictive, and totally worth the hype. I’m obsessed. Top-notch, no question. Grab the pint. Get the breadsticks. Live your best ranch life.
RANCH REVIEWMICHIGAN BASEDCHAIN RESTAURANTTOP-NOTCH!
This one came highly recommended, and let me tell you… I love it when a place reminds me why I do this. Gus’s ranch? Easily some of the top-est of the Top-Notch. I don’t even rank them in order because that’s not the vibe here, but if I did, this one would be up there fighting over a trophy.
Now, the consistency is definitely on the runnier side. I do wish it had just a touch more thickness to it, but even so, it absolutely works. I bought a whole pint of it and proceeded to hammer a breadstick, then eat almost an entire bag of Persian cucumbers like it was a competitive sport. No shame. Just ranch-fueled joy. I think I might size up to the quart next time I'm going through town.
Let’s also take a moment for the breadsticks. OMG THE BREADSTICKS. If you know, you know, and if you don’t, you should.
The breadstick bag came with a label listing a bunch of restaurants: E.G Nick’s, Tomato Brothers, Hold the Fork, Smoke Street, Highland House, which instantly had me raising an eyebrow. Are they all using the same ranch? Because listen, I’ve been burned before with shared ownership and wildly different ranch situations. But if this ranch is consistent across those spots? Baby, I’m ready to run the tour.
It's magic.
It has you questioning what other places are doing & maybe some life choices.
