Not all ranch is created equal

The Post Local Bistro - Plymouth, Michigan

The Post in Plymouth hit all the right notes. Slightly thin ranch with flavor that steals the spotlight. Pairs beautifully with everything from fries to kettle chips. It might’ve been the birthday glow, but this one was a grand slam.

RANCH REVIEWDRESSING APPROVED!TOP-NOTCH!MICHIGAN BASED

Let me be clear: this is The Post Local Bistro in downtown Plymouth, not to be confused with The Post in Novi (RIP) that fueled my bar star days. We’ve matured, and so has the ranch.

I stopped here as part of my birthday weekend tour around the Plymouth-Canton area and wow, The Post delivered. The ranch was exactly what I needed: good vibes, great apps, and a ranch that held its own. The consistency was on the thinner side, but not watery (slightly thicker than Blazin Coop's). Just enough to coat without drenching, and honestly? The flavor made me forget all about anything wrong. It was smooth, balanced, and delicious. This is definitely one I'd be asking for a lid to take home with me.

I split a bunch of appetizers with friends, and the shoestring fries and ranch combo stole the show. Like, stop-talking-and-let-me-finish-this-level-good. We also had kettle chips with French onion dip, but I caught myself reaching for the ranch more than once for those crunchy chips as well. Zero shame in my game! I know it would pair well with any bar food, and especially a salad. Gimme Gimme Gimme...
