Not all ranch is created equal

Wood Shop Social - Mount Pleasant, Michigan

This ranch is a little funky, a little fancy, and not here to play by the rules. This ranch isn’t for the traditionalist, but if you’re down for a bold twist, you might fall in love. Just don’t expect your usual creamy comfort—she’s got a whole different vibe.

RANCH REVIEWRUNNER-UPMICHIGAN BASEDDRESSING APPROVED!

This one’s a curveball in the best way. Totally homemade and totally doing its own thing. You know how they say your eyebrows should be sisters, not twins? This ranch is giving sister energy… maybe even half-sister. It’s got a pinkish hue, tiny red flecks, and a tangy-sweet flavor thanks to a blend of boiled red wine vinegar, mayo, and spices. Also, not like you bit into a gerkin expecting a kosher dill pickle. The tangy-sweet hint is subtle. Not your classic ranch, and honestly, not trying to be.

It’s super thick, like dip-a-fry-not-dress-a-salad thick. But honestly, that tracks. This place isn’t exactly serving up your standard Cobb. I had it with fries and on a burger, and it held its own beautifully & literally...it held the fry upright

The only reason it’s sitting at Runner-Up is because it’s just a little too unique to be crowned Top Notch. Ranch is supposed to be a trusty companion, and this one’s more like a quirky cousin that shows up to the BBQ with a bold lipstick and unexpected stories. It’s polarizing, for sure, but if you’re into offbeat flavor profiles, you’re in for a treat.

Also, while I’m here. Pro Tip: the pimento dip? Life-changing. No notes

TL;DR: This ranch is a little funky, a little fancy, and not here to play by the rules. This ranch isn’t for the traditionalist, but if you’re down for a bold twist, you might fall in love. Just don’t expect your usual creamy comfort, she’s got a whole different vibe.
